March 14th was an evening filled with laughter, feel-good moments, some tears, and of course, amazing music! Peace Love Ukulele, was an artfully mastered film that had the audience captured in the first few moments. With charming clips of Jake as a child to intimate interviews with Jake and his family members, the film had the entire audience at the edge of their seats. While this was Tad Nakamura's first feature-length documentary, it was clear by the audience's reaction that he had hit the ball out of the park.
Back in 2010 Jake performed at the Kokua Festival in Honolulu, HI. If you were there you may remember Jake performing "Breakdown" with Jack Johnson. The proceeds from the album will go to the Kokua Hawaii Foundation. Go to www.kokuafestival.com/best/ to find out more details!
