School Visits
Ukulele artist Jake Shimabukuro has been visiting local schools to share his experience and knowledge, and to educate students on the importance of having passion, goals for the future, and discipline in their lives. Through the power of music and sharing experiences from an inspirational role model like Jake, we hope to touch the children’s hearts by communicating our positive messages.
Below is an example of the program format:
Average Time Table: (40 min – 1hour):
Part 1: Introduction
Part 2: MIGM message (10min)
Part 3: Ukulele Performance (20-30 min)
Part 4: Q&A (10min)
Here Are The Staging Needs For Visits:
- 1 D.I. (Direct Input) For Ukulele
- 1 Microphone with Boom Stand (Speaking)
- 1 Power Strip with Six Outlets
- 1 Bar Stool With Foot Rest Bar
- 1 Sound System (Please Describe Your System When Applying)
*He has a tight schedule this year, but we will try our best to accommodate your request.
**For visits in the continental U.S., scheduling will depend on Jake's U.S. tour schedule. Due to limited resources, visits can only be planned when Jake has an "off day" between shows in your city. Therefore we need to coordinate with his booking agency and submit your request to them. Not all out of state visits will be possible, and it is best to check Jake's current tour schedule to see if or when he is coming to your city for a show.
