If everyone played the ukulele the world would be a better place

Music is Good Medicine

Sunset Beach Elementary- Oahu, HI

October 14, 2010

Located minutes from the world famous Sunset Beach as well as Pipeline, its no wonder Jake and the MIGM teamed were greeted with such warm aloha spirit.

To start the show off was Auntie Makua's advanced ukulele class. The nine talented ukulele students performed Braddah Iz's version of "Hene Hene Kou Aka," and even a solo performance of Paula Fuga's, "Country Road."

Jake showcased his talents showing the students how he can turn his ukulele into drums, an electric guitar, and even a piano. He started off with his crowd-pleasing flamenco number, “Let’s Dance.”

To end the day Jake left them with one last message, "Anything is possible as long as you work hard and stay drug free." He even got the students to agree to trade one can of soda a day for a glass of water, to help keep their bodies strong and healthy.

Special Thanks to Jeff Cicatko for coordinating this event, as well as the faculty and staff at Sunset Beach Elementary, we hope to come back and visit soon
