Sounding Joy's “Jake Shimabukuro Scholarship”
September 11, 2009Recently Jake Shimabukuro partnered with TARGET to help support a local non-profit organization in Hawaii. TARGET willingly agreed to give a donation of $10,000 to any organization of Jake's choice. After much thought and research, Jake selected Sounding Joy, Hawaii's first non-profit organization promoting music therapy, as the receiver of this donation.
Sounding Joy decided that they used the donation to set up the "Jake Shimabukuro Scholarship" fund to assist those with special needs to obtain financial assistance to receive music therapy. Mahalo to TARGET and Sounding Joy for spreading the power of music and your support!
