Riverbend Festival

We had about a 2 hour drive into Tennessee which was host to the Riverbend Festival. Apparently this is the nations longest running festival spanning nine straight days. Wow! We learned that the year before catered to about 650 THOUSAND people over the course of the event. That is so crazy!

Well after such a monumental night with Jimmy Buffett, I did not think we would be able to top it. The day started off with a few promotional runs for tonights show. We hit up a local radio station, AM 1690 The Voice of the Arts. Jake did a great interview with the DJ and played 3 songs.
Jimmy Buffett Show

Wow!! If you have yet to see Jake perform with Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, then it is a must! I have never seen Jake perform in front of so many people and on such a large stage. There must have been 40-50 thousand in attendance. Jake plays a lot of songs with them and is on stage most of the time. It really is crazy.
Old Town Temecula Theatre
Jake took about 5 days off between the tour legs and went back to Hawaii. We met up again in Los Angeles for one last California show. This show is set in Temecula, which is just over an hour from Los Angeles. I was really excited for this show as my whole family was going to attend...

It was a pretty long night after our show at Temple Bar. Jake and I had some interesting conversations that kept us both pondering for a while. We knew that today was going to be a long one as we had to make the three-hour drive two times. What better way to start your day but then a visit to Whole Foods!

What would California be without Whole Foods? For those of you that do not know, Jake LOVES Whole Foods with a passion. Everytime there is one in the area we must visit and eat there. It hass become a tour tradition. So naturally this was our first stop before hitting the road. Check out the size of these artichokes!

After a nice long three week break, Jake was ready to hit the scene again. We met up in Los Angeles to make a long drive to San Diego where Jake was set to play for a private show. The super cool thing about this show is that it was held at the Torrey Pines Lodge where the PGA US Open is to be held in June. So cool! We got to see the golf course setup for the best in the world to come and play. Plus the surrounding area is a nature preserve and is simply breathtaking.
McNesse Main Performance

Well everything has culminated up to this night. The event was to be held at the Bulber Auditorium on the McNesse campus. This is a really unique theatre and has very good acoutics inside. I know Jake was pumped to get on stage and have such a professional sound system available. The crew for this production was above and beyond professional. They had Jake setup with some serious equipment....

Our payoff for working so hard today, was going out dinner. But not just dinner....we went out for crawfish and crabs...down and dirty style! If you have not had the chance to enjoy cajun food (specifically seafood) then you are probably missing out big time. And from my understanding, cajun food is the best in Louisiana. Our hosts took us to a really local joint and we were super pumped for this.....
Day of School Performances

Its always fun to see Jake interact and perform for the schools. Wether it's highschoolers, middle schoolers, or the rowdy elementary kids Jake loves to contribute his art style. What's cool about the promotion we are involved in, is that they bring all sorts of different of artistic talents to the local schools. From readers, to lecturers, to musical performances and stage performances. Then they cap it off with a main performance at the McNesse Bulber Auditorium. All in all Jake had a total of 4 performances, 3 schools and the main event.......
