Pori Jazz Festival - Pori, Finland

Ahhh the beauty and calmness of Pori. We had a few minutes to roam the streets during the daytime (same as night-time) and see the vibrant action and culture in full effect. Was a mellow sleep in kind of day...which is direly needed at this point. Rest up Jake, because tonight is the Pori Jazz Festival performance.

Well I am pretty sure most of the team suffered from Jet Lag over the night, but that's typical for the first few days. Nonetheless we are all really excited for the inaugural Europe show tonight. Jake's set will take place in a museum theatre room which holds about 300 people.

Get Ready For The Unexpected! Just love this ad that we saw in the Sweden airport. It really explains a lot of how we feel about this whole trip. Jake's first time playing in Europe....our first time in Europe. What does this massive continent have in store for us?
Traveling To Stockholm - Sweden

This is it, Jake's first European tour! I suppose a good way to begin this two week blog is to give an idea of where exactly we are going in the world. We are traveling to one of the (if you believe the theory) original members of Pangea.
Jimmy Buffett’s at the Beachcomber – Oahu, Hawaii

Once again, the dynamic trio took the stage at Jimmy Buffett’s at the Beachcomber to wow the audience. The members: the amazing Jake, the uncanny Noel Okimoto on the skins, and the versatile Dean Taba on the bass. The three of them rocked the house! For their first set, they played songs such as “Let’s Dance”, “Five Dollars Unleaded” (my favorite), “Touch”, and others, from Jake’s Live album.
Road Tales From Jake - Japan
Aloha Jklub members!
I'm so sorry for falling extremely behind with my tour update.
I'm in Japan right now having a blast! I'm still committed to my gluten-free diet. However, it's much harder to eat gluten-free in Japan than it is in America, especially since most dishes here are cooked with shoyu.
Today was a crazy day! I was in Fukuoka this morning, flew to Okinawa in the afternoon for a private concert, and tonight, I'll be flying back to Tokyo so that I can fly to Osaka tomorrow! Crazy!!
Then, I'll have 2 days in Osaka of concerts/promotion before flying out to North Carolina to continue my U.S. tour on the east coast. I'm sure racking up some miles on this trip!
Have a great weekend everyone! Thanks for reading...
Aloha,

Pretty sweet day. It all started with a drive from San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles. Pick up Kaz (Jake's Manager) and rip it down to San Juan Capistrano for a interview with Surfer Magazine. We also met up with Tyler who is going to shoot video for the next two shows. So we have a full boat today for sure. The interview at Surfer was awesome with a really cool host. He and Jake talked deep about the origins of music, and the history of the ukulele. We have a few surprise guests for the show tonight....
