In honor of the Americans of Japanese ancestry (AJA) soldiers who fought and sacrificed their lives in World War II, Jake Shimabukuro will be releasing “Go For Broke,” a heartfelt tribute to the men of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Infantry Battalion, the 1399th Engineering Construction Battalion, and the Military Intelligence Service (MIS). The song will be available online at www.JakeShimabukuro.com for free download beginning Thursday July 1st.

40th Annual Ukulele Festival Hawaii
Jake will participate in this years Ukulele Festival Hawaii. The festival is free to the public and will be hosted at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand on Sunday July 18, 2010 from 9:00am-2:30pm. Come one come all!

A Message From Jake: Na Hoku Hanohano Awards
Thank you to everyone who supported the Na Hoku O Hawaii Music Festival during the Memorial Day weekend. I was so honored to carry home with me the award for Instrumental Album as well as Favorite Entertainer of the Year. Thank you to the voting members of HARA and all that participated and voted in the Favorite Entertainer category. I appreciate your support and encouragement immensely. Navy Exchange (NEX) Show Changes
We regret to inform you that Jake's scheduled show at the Navy Exchange (NEX) on May 28, 2010 will not be available for civilians. Due to weather, the show location has been moved into the "Military Only" section of the NEX. Civilians will not be permitted inside this area to view the performance. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and for the late notice.

Carissima Chow Fundraising Event - Oahu, Hawaii
Jake will be supporting a local fundraising event on June 19, 2010 in Honolulu, HI. This event, located at Don Ho's Island Grill, is in support of Carissima Chow, who is a nurse with Kapiolani Medical Center in Family Birth Center. She has dedicated her life in helping others and now she needs your help. All proceeds to help with medical expenses.
