Tell us about you: I am an elementary music teacher in my second year of teaching. My goal is to start a ukulele ensemble at my school. I can't wait to see Jake live for the first time in June with the Nashville Symphony. It will be very special because it will also be my 4th wedding anniversary!

Jake Shimabukuro can now add “film scorer” to his long list of musical achievements.  Earlier this year, the independent Japanese film company Cine Quanon commissioned Jake to compose the music for their new movie Hula Girl, featured in the 2006 Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival. www.hula-girl.jp

Gently Weeps is the solo ukulele CD that Jake's fans have been asking for, reflecting the repertoire of the live shows that have been perking ears and dropping jaws worldwide. Recorded in Nashville , Gently Weeps was produced by Mac McAnally, lead guitarist from Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer band. 

Just added!! One more show at the MACC - Sunday, January 28 at 2:30pm. Jake's four-night concert series is almost sold out and we want to give you one more opportunity to see Jake live while he's on Maui. Hope you can come!

Jake will appear on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly on February 15, 2007 as a special musical guest performing with the show's band.  "Last Call" airs at 1:35am (EST) right after Late Night with Conan O'Brien.  Please check your local listings to see when Last Call with Carson Daly airs in your area.

This will be Jake's second national TV appearance on NBC.  In December 2005, Jake appeared on the Late Show with Conan O'Brien.
